Avalanche Gallery - Rome Ridge - Northern aspect

Issued: 23/10/2021
Numerous, and continuous wet snow avalanches commencing in solar affected snow-fields 1700m+, and pouring over cliffs through gullies. Some of these avalanches were quite large (Class 2+). Photograph only captures tail end of pour (rendered from video). These were natural releases, however climber triggered events of similar scale were easy to initiate on the Goldney Glacier, and Bealey Slide.
